Montessori School is a year round school with open registration that uses a traditional teaching method developed by Dr. Montessori. "Year round" means that we do operate during summer months, and "open registration" means that your child can be registered at any time during the year! We accept a child at the age of two, and their education can continue and include kindergarten at our school.

VPK Sessions 2008-09
|
Oviedo Montessori participates in the VOLUNTARY PRE-KINDERGARTEN (VPK) program, which is a FREE* educational program for all children of Florida residents who reach the age of 4 before September 1. Instruction for children participating in the VPK program is conducted in the same traditional Montessori style as benefits all students at our facility.
The VPK program was developed to help insure the educational success of children in public school kindergarten. For your child to get the most of this of the VPK program and the Montessori experience, it is highly recommended that they continue their enrollment in through the balance of the year before kindergarten begins. If you decide that the Montessori Method has benefited you child's educational growth, you may choose to have them attend kindergarten at our school where they feel at home. Many of the parents of our graduates report that their children are placed in "gifted" or accelerated programs when they enter public school.
In order to receive free tuition for the VPK program, you must obtain a certificate for VPK from the Seminole Coalition. Call them for details at 407.532.4422 or go to:
www.seminoleearlylearning.org
* The FREE VPK tuition can only be used for one session per child anywhere in the state. A child that is registered for VPK can continue advancement in the Montessori Program by paying full tuition after the VPK funded 90 days session ends.
