In 1907 Dr. Montessori established the first Montessori School in the ghetto of Rome. With no materials and an untrained assistant, she observed the children and provided them with the experiences they lacked.

Today the Montessori Method is used world wide and proven to be far ahead of its time.

THE MONTESSORI METHOD
The Montessori method reflects great respect for the uniqueness of each child. The child is invited to take an "active" and not "passive" role in his/her development. This equates to a truly individualized education. Montessori teachers carefully observe each child and then introduce them to materials and lessons based on their interest and readiness.
